How To Set Up Mediacom Email On Iphone
Click on '+' sign below for desired instructions
+ IMAP Setup for Android
Begin by opening the Email App from the App Drawer or Home Screen on your Android device
- If you have no other email accounts setup in the Email App, please skip to the Create a new email account section
- If you have other non-Mediacom email accounts setup in the Email App, please skip to the Add a new email account section
- If you have your current Mediacom email account setup in the Email App as POP3, please continue on to the Remove POP3 account section
Remove POP3 account
- Press the Menu button
- Press the Settings icon
- Touch the account you wish to remove.
- Press the Remove button
- Press the Remove button
Any emails the customer has saved onto their device that are no longer stored on the webmail server will be lost, be sure to backup any items before proceeding
- If you have any other non-Mediacom accounts setup, please continue on to the Add a new email account section
- If you do not have any other accounts setup, please skip to the Create a new email account section
- If you have any other non-Mediacom accounts setup, please continue on to the Add a new email account section
Add a new email account
- Press the Menu button
- Press the Settings icon
- Press the Add Account button
- Press the Add Other Account button
Create a new email account
- Enter your Mediacom Email Address
- Enter your Mediacom Password
- Press the MANUAL SETUP button
- Press the IMAP ACCOUNT button
- Enter your Mediacom Email Address
- Enter your Mediacom Username
- Enter your Mediacom Password
- Enter mail.mediacombb.net
- Select SSL/TLS as the Security type
- Enter 993 as the Port number (should fill in automatically when SSL is selected)
- Scroll down to enter the outgoing server information
- Enter smtp.mediacombb.net
- Select STARTTLS as the Security type
- Enter 587 as the Port number
- Verify the 'Authentication Required before sending emails' is On
- Enter your Mediacom Username
- Enter your Mediacom Password
- Press the NEXT button
- These settings are personal preference, set as desired
- Press the NEXT button
- Name your account as desired
- Enter your name as you wish it to appear in outgoing emails
- Press the DONE button
Note: POP3 settings are the same except for the incoming port number. However we strongly recommend using IMAP.
Note: IMAP is the preferred method for email setup. The only time POP3 should be utilized is when using a device or piece of software that does not support the IMAP standard.

- Touch the Settings icon on the iPhone/iPad.
- Touch Account and Passwords
- Touch Add Account
- Touch Other
- Touch Add Mail Account
- Fill out the Fields with the information needed
- Name: Customer's name
- Email: example@mediacombb.net or example@mchsi.com
- Password: email password
- Description: email box name
- Name: Customer's name
- Fill out the following information in each field
- INCOMING MAIL SERVER
- Host Name: mail.mediacombb.net
- Username: email address
- Password: email password
- Host Name: mail.mediacombb.net
- OUTGOING MAIL SERVER
- Host Name: smtp.mediacombb.net
- Username: email address
- Pasword: email password
- Host Name: smtp.mediacombb.net
- INCOMING MAIL SERVER

Note: New Apple upgrade bypasses the ports.

- The new mailbox will show up on the Accounts and Passwords menu
- Go to the Home screen and select the Mail icon
- The new mailbox will show up in Mailboxes.

+ IMAP Setup for MAC Mail
- To begin with, click on the Apple Icon Menu on the top left of your screen and select the System Preferences... submenu.
- You will be taken to your System Preferences screen where you can adjust various options of your Mac OS.
- Select the Internet Accounts link to proceed.
- Here, you will see a list of all the different accounts you have registered including iCloud, FaceBook, Vimeo, etc. Scroll down and select the Add Other Account... option.
- Next, select to add a Mail account on the next screen.
- A popup will appear asking you to fill in your name and the Email address that you want to register with Mac Mail. Note, that people you send emails to will receive them from the name you enter here. This option, however, can be changed later on. Finally, click Sign in to proceed.
- Now, you have to fill in the server settings for your Email account:
- Email Address: should be pre-filled with the value you've entered in the previous screen;
- Username: enter your full email address as username, i.e user@domain.com. It will be used both for the incoming and outgoing connection;
- Password: enter the password for your email account;
- Account Type: it's set to IMAP by default. Unless you specifically want to use POP3 you should leave it that way;
- Incoming Mail Server: add mail.mediacombb.net for your domain name;
- Outgoing Mail Server: add smtp.mediacombb.net for your domain name;
- Email Address: should be pre-filled with the value you've entered in the previous screen;
- Once you fill in all the details, press Sign In to proceed.
- Finally, you will be asked which programs you want to use this account with. The available options depend on the applications you have installed on your account.
- That's it! You can now use your email account with the Mac Mail application.

+ Setting Up Outlook / Windows Email
- Open Outlook* - If the wizard doesn't start, then click File > Add Account
- Enter an email address to add a new account
- Click on Advanced options and select "Let me set up my account manually" and click Connect
- Select IMAP for the account type
- Verify the IMAP Account Settings are correct then click Next
- Incoming Mail
- Server: mail.mediacombb.net
- Port: 993
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
- Server: mail.mediacombb.net
- Outgoing mail
- Server: smtp.mediacombb.net
- Port: 587 (465 if STARTTLS is not available)
- Encryption method: STARTTLS (SSL/TLS if STARTTLS is not available)
- Select "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)"
- Server: smtp.mediacombb.net
- Incoming Mail
- Enter the email password and click Connect
- It will take a few moments while setting up the account
